In this video we will discus about the State Legislature. The state legislative is very similar to the union legislative. Just like the Parliament has two houses, it may also have two house : Legislative Assembly or Vidhan Sabha Legislative Council or Vidhan Parishad Most of the states in India are unicameral and contains only Legislative assembly or Vidhan Sabha. But six states in India contain Legislative Council too and are bicameral in nature. We will also study about the legislating subjects distributed between State and Center in the form of lists. Union list, State list and concurrent list.
